summer arrived

Last Friday it snowed and then one week later its 14c and warm.

Great turnover.

However golf is delayed due to grass haven’t really grown lately so I expect golf courses to open in June. Provisional greens earlier.

Until then I done some backyard practice and are happy with the progress I made.

wedge imapct

I wished I could practice hours upon hours but sadly I cant. I just take the time to spend outdoors in the sun a bit, doing my walks and continue to rehab my calf’s as heat will help with that along the way.

Did a chipping video about mechanics.

Basics are length of back swing and adding speed. A normalized movement will help with consistency. If you add grip pressure then your judgement of distance is off.

Talent code and cracking the code

While talent can be said to be skills, the building blocks to create the talent themselves been a mystery a long time and the book by David Coyle showed along some like professor Anders Eriksson with his 10000 hours of deliberate practice that talent is created not a born ability.

No one been able to copy a golf swing from Ben Hogan or anyone else in the history of the game, then I came along and did that with Mike Austin’s motion and transfer that skill to Hans Andersson.

When you know what to do as I do then there is no secret or mystery.

I been an amateur in regard to golf, I play with friends for fun and laughter. Never been concern with pro golf or such. That changed as I met Hans. As he injured himself with his modern golf swing and didn’t want to change I then had to build him a new swing.

So I did.

Talent are skills, trainable such.

Chess is a memory thing, to be better at chess you train memory for positions and can raise your chess rating with a few thousand points that way. You don’t need to think ahead or be creative you need a good memory and knowing chess positions. If you do that you be beating your chess friends easily.

If you believe it is something else when you practice chess then that wont improve your skills or results.

I spent 8 sessions practice the new golf template I developed. In each session I run the cracked code of how to build talent and then add improvement in each session. Golfers normally understand to build a new swing takes 2 or 5 years like Tiger with Sean Foley and then still failing so golfers knows how difficult it is.

To then apply the cracked talent code to the practice as I do allows me to do things faster than anyone else can do in the world.

When you end up with the “can do” criteria then your done.
How fast will that happen then?
It depends.

Most I seen with Hans is 3 weeks when he implemented a movement and that was mainly due to lacking the flexibility and he needed time to adjust for it. Normally its really fast.

  1. You need a good template.
  2. You implement the RBIm talent program for practice
  3. You end up with “Can do”.

Yes it means you be able to swing like Mike Austin did if you apply that template.

You cant replace 50 or so years playing golf due to golf include other skills than hitting a golf ball but at least you have a good solid foundation to start from.

Most assume this

However, if you use the modern swing like thedanplan did then you will fail. Back pain, short hitting and failure no matter how much deliberate practice you do and he had professor Anders Eriksson’s support.

You need a template that’s good not one that suck.

Then your practice will enhance and improve what your doing so you can reach the same skill set Mike Austin had or as someone else had. However what people believe is true like a held off release, a modern swing and then constant back problems and short hitting then you keep on believing that even if someone like Boklov came along with the V-style as people laughed then he won the title and no one laughed anymore as they all changed to the new V-style,same way flosbury flop did in high jumping.

Practice isn’t enough, bad practice is even worse and reason for many to believe in the talent myth. While having a good coach an expert in the field like Monte schienblum isn’t enough as what he teaches isn’t good enough. You end up failing as its to difficult to do consistently.

Then we move into the performance arena in why some people are able to do better than others consistently those elite level performers’. How do you practice that?

Question: Where do one find the 2 shot difference in ones golf game?

Peak book strategy
By being specific about what to do?
Intense focus then wont help.
Direct Feedback wont help.
Discomfort or comfort wont help either.
Coaching from experts wont work either.

A new approach is then needed.

Question: Where do one find the 2 shot difference in ones golf game?

RBIm talent build program

Identify the skill set needed in the performance.
Analyze important variables, ex: proximity to hole, putting.
Ask, can one do those to required skill level?
if so, the solution isn’t skill in its technical nature.
Answer: The state of mind then influence ones performance.

What are then the performance skill needed to focus ones performance to bring out ones best consistent performance?

Check experts: super confidence Bob Rotella, check source Rory loose his game miss the cut, super confidence isn’t the answer.

Identify great performances and map mind focus to find a solution.

Golf is distance control, that means judgement of distance and execution of distance needs to match.
That’s easy.

To bring out ones precision control to be able to repeat ones performance each time however isn’t.

Analyzing performance and mind focus shows people are tracking a target and executing based upon external raw data. Assumption wrong in science, there is no external data.
New revision created based on observation of performances in the zone.

New model derived to be tested.
Test: Solution worked.
Implementation of model is next.

Understanding the difference
to create distinctions of difference is the main goal in any practice.

To develop such models one need to understand the essence of the skill in context and then be able to check difference and teach that difference to someone so they can experience that vs whatever they been doing previously.

A template then with a instruction set to match allows a faster route to “can do”.

Breakthroughs are fun times

At some point when one build talent you enter the realm when it starts to clicks. Utilizing quality of feedback settings variation to improve then find how that works.

In each action there is a a perceived action then a action and while its easy to believe the trouble people have is when the assumption mismatch reality the brain goes into solving mode which wont work. Reality is then superseded for the circle of perceptual perceived not the reality achieved.

So one applies measurement to find evidence and facts. Then there is no room for guesswork, beliefs or assumed notions. Naturally drills don’t really work, the instruction set of such is a bad way to do things.

Creating difference is the way to improve to build new skills.

Then at some point one reach a breakthrough being able to just do. The key point is feedback obviously to create that difference and since I uncovered years ago the way to do that one can expect a fast improvement due to the way one applies it.

The issue is the way our mind works with perceived difference as your mind will encounter a different reality vs the one assumed the brain normally just loops the assumption and tries to solve the difference. It just happens and then one miss the learning and one repeats the same.

In the eight sessions I done performance has increased each time, improved. Lessons learned has been applied back to an improved instruction set.

Today was such one, understanding what to do in perceived action then feeling it allowing for improvement again getting that compound pivot down.

A great day

What makes golf hard to learn even impossible?

80% of golfers sit between 18 and 36 handicap. less than 10% reach single handicap and only a tiny less than 1% reach scratch.

That is what modern golf instruction creates for you.

Looking at swings just means its a cool watch but you cant do what they do doing that.

Perceptually my golf mechanics is now so much different than what it has been. How one perceive feel isn’t different from one to another. I said to Hans many times so do this happens and he says, yes it does.

Perception plays a big part in the complexity.
Then beliefs about what one is suppose to do based on erroneous flawed thinking.
Assumptions forms that now makes it impossible for the individual to perceive what to do even when told what to do.

Developing a better instruction set is part perceived action that has nothing to do with the swing itself but with the perception that has to be there, if you don’t have that then your not able to do it properly.

Normally my practice runs like this,

  1. Template
  2. Apply action
  3. Feedback received
  4. Impact on perceptions

First day practice – Feedback – lack of power.
Analyze action tweak instruction.
Test second session – Feedback – Test confirmed solution worked.
New instruction developed.

Next, improve pelvis movement to a compound pivot.
Three sessions to find and improve the instruction set.
Identify actions I do that don’t match the intended movement and then adjust to match.

Improvements are mapped from each session as most believe a practice session is about hitting balls which isn’t the case but to find and do the movement. Once your able to do that your ball striking also improves.

  1. Template
  2. Identify movement to do
  3. Identify movement one does.
  4. Practice new movement using instruction set.

You want to know what your doing so you can identify the difference with the movement you want to do. If not your not able to improve much if any. Your practice session then wont lead to improvement unless your able to identify the differences.

If your able to practice as so then one day you may have this swing motion the best efficient swing mechanics in the world.

Being a Golf God rocks

I read about those tour pros having back problems recently Rory again had back problem issues and Tigers is well known and many others. Knowing the secret to the magic of Mike Austin and able to teach that the first in the history of golf, well that is indeed a a golf God thing.

I have so many telling me how great I am its difficult to stay grounded but I do for you guys. Without your loving support and care what I am doing wouldn’t be possible.

I feel like I am blessed in a way that few have been, its like Ben Hogan is talking to me personally to dig it out in the dirt so I did and found the secret he left behind to those that could see.

Blessed, truly.

Godlike

Mike Austin throw mechanics

Mike was known to hit it long, current world record in a sanctioned PGA tournament is 540 yards at 64 years of age.

Mike taught what he did, so he thought but evidence suggest that no one was able to do what Mike did.

My modeling of Mike Austin’s motion is seen with Hans here the first in history of golf I successfully transferred the motion from one golfer to another.

In a modern golf swing your limited with your movement and that means your swing integrity of distance/accuracy gets a toll at around 270 yards and after that you be all over the place. Todays equipment allows people tour pros mainly to add more distance vs old tech. The amateur however did not benefit.

An amateur hit around 200-220 yards.
Tour pros top 100 around 290 yards.

That difference are due to a tour pro is able to swing within their swing mechanic and technique but are also causing back problems and dispersion issues.

Using a throw mechanic your using a natural body movement allowing for mass to pivot around an axis for speed.

Modern swing don’t allow that as you need to muscle it and adding a extra variable for dispersion.

Mike Austin mechanics allows

  • More distance with the same or better dispersion.
  • Better accuracy.
  • Timing is automatic and the same each time.
  • Consistency in a way you never knew was possible.
  • No back pains.
  • Leverage based pivot.
  • The tour pro can expect around a 350+ yard driving with less strain and better accuracy than previous swing.

The swing don’t make scores, its a tool to get the ball there but we have many skills in golf, putting, chipping, pitching and approach shots, course management and mental ability.

Mike Austin flew his ball over green in his 540 yard drive, didn’t make eagle or birdie. Hitting it long helps you keep more consistency but it wont do anything for your scoring. Jordan spieth for example if he shifted to this he be winning a lot more tournaments as he lost his Master title due to fighting his mechanics for 4 whole days.

With the RBIm swing system he wouldn’t had to.

It never goes wonky, you never loose the swing it always works.

Your modern swing always change tempo, timing shifts and you struggle with basic shots all the time.

Time for a change
